Cosasco’s Nigerian Partner Supports Local Content Growth

Manz Incorporated, a long-term partner of Cosasco, is set to see continued growth in the future due to the huge shift in local content support. Major operators are stepping aside, being replaced and/or shared with local indigenous operators, and because of this new government-driven concept, as many as 40-50 new indigenous operators could rise.

The emerging EPCs within the Nigerian market are looking to capitalize on the vast Capex projects on the horizon that are expected to return home. There is a lot of talent in Nigeria to manage these projects, and Manz is looking to partner up with these emerging operators to ensure the best corrosion monitoring technology is provided for Capex applications.

The aging assets in the Nigerian territories are being handed over, all of which could benefit from internal corrosion monitoring technologies in varying degrees, increasing visibility and the control over rates of corrosion within systems. This will inevitably extend asset life, prevent unplanned maintenance requirements, and ultimately save the new operators significantly on future costly maintenance spending throughout the asset’s lifetime.
